21 days in…

I started a challenge 21 days ago and I am so surprised that I have stuck to it! My challenge mainly consisted of working out 5 to 7 days but decided to just challenge myself to workout everyday even if its a slow turtle walk for 30 minutes. I have had to also read everyday, along with watch what I eat, drink more water and fast daily. Some days were a lot harder than others but I managed to force myself to get up and do some sort of exercise for 30 minutes at least. When I started the challenge I was 275 pounds; I am now 271.8. my goal is to be at least 265 by the end of this month; which means I have 21 more days to lose 6.8 pounds. I feel like if this was someone else it would be so much more easier but I think for me its so much harder to lose the weight since I have such hormone issues. I even got my period while doing this challenge which I hadn’t gotten in 3 months and oh my goodness the pain was unreal.. the cramps hurt like a bitch but I still pushed myself to work out.

The shocking part is that I am actually starting to really enjoy working out and I have noticed that I don’t get as tired when I workout as I used too … I am loving it!

Heres to the last 21 days of the challenge…lets see what will happen!

New weight goal for July…

I cannot believe I’m only 1.6 pounds away from meeting my July goal weight…how insane! If you haven’t read my last blog post I pretty much challenged myself to go from 282 to 275 by my birthday (July 31) I started this challenge for myself just this past Monday so it hasn’t even been a week and I have already lost 6.2 pounds in the past few days! I decided that I am going to focus on my goal weight being anywhere from 265 to 270 pounds by end of July.

I made major changes to my everyday life this week and I know that’s what really helping me;

  • I started fasting again but I am sticking to fully doing 16 hours or more everyday. I think there was only one day that I did 14 hours which is still good.
  • I also watch what I eat; I am cutting back on sugar and carbs a lot. I am someone who ate a ton of sugar and carbs without a care honestly and this is such a shock for my body. I have still enjoyed a few treats but I make sure I don’t go over my sugar intake for the day (I track my meals on myfitnesspal) that helps me to make sure I’m not over eating on anything.
  • I am getting in the habit of drinking a ton more water. I take my hydro flask water bottle that’s 40 oz with me everywhere I go and I try to refill it at least 3 times a day.
  • Lastly I am working out almost everyday this week. I don’t do anything too crazy, I try to do some sort of cardio whether its elliptical or walking for at least 30 minutes then I’ll do some weight training a few times a week.

I’m so excited for this journey! Lets kick this July challenges butt!

Weight loss Challenge for July!

This past week has been insanely sad and crazy for me. If you read my last post you’ll know that my sweet dog passed away and I took it really hard. I tend to eat when I’m sad so I sadly gained about 3 pounds in the past week or so. I really want to focus on myself so I challenged myself (my husband challenged me too) to lose at least 7 pounds by my birthday. I’m currently 282.8 pounds as of this morning and I want to get to 275 by my birthday which is July 31st. I am starting intermittent fasting and am going to aim for 16 hours every day if I really can’t stick it on certain days I’ll do 14 only.

Today was the first day of my challenge and I am happy that I was able to fast 16.5 hours and I ate pretty good. I love my sugar and treats and I had very little of it today compared to how much I usually have! I even went and worked out at the end of the day 🙌 So fingers crossed I can pass this challenge and lose 7 or more pounds by end of July!
