6 Week Weight loss Challenge.

photo_2019-07-21 21.14.34.jpeg

I have decided to challenge myself to do a weigh loss challenge again now that July is almost over. I’m close to getting to my weight loss goal for July but I decided to extend my goal till August 31. I would now love to be at 260 to 265 if not more by then. I am currently as of yesterday 275; so I will have 10 to 15 pounds to lose in 6 weeks. I listened to the podcast about 75 Hard and I don’t think I can do that one; however, my friend is doing it and she has motivated me to come up with my own version. So for 6 weeks I will be challenging myself to:

  • workout 5 to 7 days a week for minimum of 30 minutes a day.
  • drink about 135 oz of water a day.
  • eat more fruits and veggies.
  • eat less carbs and sugar
  • take progress phots and measurements along with weighing myself once a week.
  • fast for 16 hours or more…minimum 14 if I have to break my fast earlier.
  • read for 15 minutes or more a day (this has nothing to do with my weight loss; however, its good for me mentally and I never have time and love reading so I will be forcing myself to make time now)

Today was my first day and I already have worked out, read a book, fasted, taken my progress photo and I’m almost done with my oz of water for the day.

New weight goal for July…

2019-06-29 20.47.58

I cannot believe I’m only 1.6 pounds away from meeting my July goal weight…how insane! If you haven’t read my last blog post I pretty much challenged myself to go from 282 to 275 by my birthday (July 31) I started this challenge for myself just this past Monday so it hasn’t even been a week and I have already lost 6.2 pounds in the past few days! I decided that I am going to focus on my goal weight being anywhere from 265 to 270 pounds by end of July.

I made major changes to my everyday life this week and I know that’s what really helping me;

  • I started fasting again but I am sticking to fully doing 16 hours or more everyday. I think there was only one day that I did 14 hours which is still good.
  • I also watch what I eat; I am cutting back on sugar and carbs a lot. I am someone who ate a ton of sugar and carbs without a care honestly and this is such a shock for my body. I have still enjoyed a few treats but I make sure I don’t go over my sugar intake for the day (I track my meals on myfitnesspal) that helps me to make sure I’m not over eating on anything.
  • I am getting in the habit of drinking a ton more water. I take my hydro flask water bottle that’s 40 oz with me everywhere I go and I try to refill it at least 3 times a day.
  • Lastly I am working out almost everyday this week. I don’t do anything too crazy, I try to do some sort of cardio whether its elliptical or walking for at least 30 minutes then I’ll do some weight training a few times a week.

I’m so excited for this journey! Lets kick this July challenges butt!

Weight loss Challenge for July!

This past week has been insanely sad and crazy for me. If you read my last post you’ll know that my sweet dog passed away and I took it really hard. I tend to eat when I’m sad so I sadly gained about 3 pounds in the past week or so. I really want to focus on myself so I challenged myself (my husband challenged me too) to lose at least 7 pounds by my birthday. I’m currently 282.8 pounds as of this morning and I want to get to 275 by my birthday which is July 31st. I am starting intermittent fasting and am going to aim for 16 hours every day if I really can’t stick it on certain days I’ll do 14 only.

Today was the first day of my challenge and I am happy that I was able to fast 16.5 hours and I ate pretty good. I love my sugar and treats and I had very little of it today compared to how much I usually have! I even went and worked out at the end of the day šŸ™Œ So fingers crossed I can pass this challenge and lose 7 or more pounds by end of July!

My dog passed away…

It has been such a rough week for me; my sweet baby boy passed away at the age of 8. He has been sick the past few weeks; he sadly had pancreatitis and the medicine didn’t help. He was the first pet that I owned that I got all by myself, he was my baby and I’m so heartbroken that he’s gone but glad that he is no longer suffering and in pain! I literally have gone into depression because of this and also just losing my grandma just a few months ago; its been really hard but I’m so glad to have my husband by my side helping me through this tough time. Do you have any pets?

Eating habits…

fullsizeoutput_12

I am currently babysitting and just put the boys down for the night and all I want to do is go grab a snack to munch on. Im not hungry actually I just want to eat because well it’s such a habit of mine. For years I would snack and eat just randomly, I would hardly ever let myself get hungry. I would binge eat for the hell of it, I would eat when I was emotional, stressed, etc. I had no control of it, actually I still have a hard time. But thankfully due to the intermittent fasting, at least I control it a little bit. I started fasting at 7:30pm tonight (a little over an hour ago) and I’m not hungry at all but all I want to do is go grab something to eat while I watch movies or read a book; but instead I decided to just drink water and sit here and blog. I really want to break this horrible habit of mine… any tips to help me besides for keeping myself busy and fasting???

Week 1 of Intermittent fasting…

Well I did it again, I finished my first week of intermittent fasting again! It feels so good to be fasting once again, I feel so much better! But it has been a little hard going back to fasting once again after being off of it for a while. Im back to doing what I was doing before, just listening to my body, meaning if I’m really hungry, I just end up ending my fast. I do try to fast for at least 12 or 13 hours before giving up though. Since I started I lost 2 pounds which is great considering the fact that I didn’t really work out! I am really hoping to stick to this for the long run and lose as much weight as I can.

Day 1 done!

Well I did it! I completed my first day of doing intermittent fasting again! My goal was to aim for 14 hours, however I wasn’t too hungry so I continued to fast till I got hungry and ended my fast at 15.5 hours! Woohoo! It wasn’t too bad actually… I was hungry but I kept myself busy and drank water which helped, I also did have a headache from the fasting but it wasn’t horrible either! I think my body got use to having something in the mornings and eating whenever for the past few weeks that I’ll probably will have a headache for the next few mornings until my body get adjusted to this new routine again!
