Well I did it! I completed my first day of doing intermittent fasting again! My goal was to aim for 14 hours, however I wasn’t too hungry so I continued to fast till I got hungry and ended my fast at 15.5 hours! Woohoo! It wasn’t too bad actually… I was hungry but I kept myself busy and drank water which helped, I also did have a headache from the fasting but it wasn’t horrible either! I think my body got use to having something in the mornings and eating whenever for the past few weeks that I’ll probably will have a headache for the next few mornings until my body get adjusted to this new routine again!
Well I didn’t fail but I did slack off! I got so sick about 3 weeks ago, with a horrible ear and throat infection and bronchitis! I had to miss 3 days of work just because I was that sick and could barely talk! On top of that my sweet sweet grandma passed away that week! So I was on antibiotics for almost 10 days if not more so I had to eat to take my pills even though I barely ate since I couldn’t swollen anything let alone liquid and pills. But yeah I got off the track of fasting and exercising! So tonight I decided enough is enough I’m going back to fasting! I’m starting to feel bloated again, I’m starting to eat more and crave sugar like there’s no tomorrow. I just don’t like this feeling anymore and want to feel how I felt when I fasted for a month! I wasn’t doing the 16:8 method as I mentioned, so I’m just going to continue to do why I was doing which was mainly listening to my body. If I was starving and was getting light headed I would end up fast before my 14 (my everyday goal was to fast for 14 hours) but I have done 15, 16 and even one 18 hour fast! So I know I can do it but it’ll just be so hard this week trying to retrain my body! So wish me luck!!! I want to document my journey to getting back on track on here!
When we welcomed 2019, I got this weird feeling well not weird but great feeling that this was going to be my year. This year is going to be the year that I finally put myself first and work on becoming a better and healthier version of myself.
Two weeks ago exactly I started intermittent fasting in hopes of losing weight and getting healthy and honestly I have been loving it. I fast daily for about 14 to 16.5 hours meaning I do not eat or drink anything during that time frame except for water and black coffee. I can technically have black or green tea s well but I do not like my tea without sugar and honey so I rather stick to black coffee and water only. I have also started working out (this week more so than last week) and have lost a total of 4.5 pounds in two weeks.(WOOHOO)
I also got off my birth control two weeks ago today! I’m very curious to see how my body reacts this time around to it; last time I got off birth control to try and get pregnant, I gained almost 40 pounds within a year, broke out like insane and was so moody and tired all the time. Oh and I don’t get my period without my pill so we shall see about that too! I have heard intermittent fasting helps some women with their hormones and get pregnant as well so we shall see if it helps me with my crazy hormone imbalance.
